Sunrise Sober Living Residence is proud to announce that we are now certified by the New York State Alliance of Recovery Residences (NYSARR), the New York State affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR).
This certification represents an important milestone for Sunrise and reflects our commitment to providing a safe, structured, ethical, and recovery-focused living environment.
NYSARR certification means that Sunrise has demonstrated alignment with nationally recognized recovery-residence standards addressing resident safety, rights, dignity, accountability, ethical operations, recovery support, and responsible organizational practices.
Certification provides greater confidence that Sunrise maintains clear expectations, protects resident welfare, and supports each resident's individual recovery journey.
For treatment providers, hospitals, care managers, probation and parole officers, and other referral partners, certification demonstrates that Sunrise follows recognized recovery-housing standards and is committed to professional collaboration and continuous improvement.

We are a recovery community built around peer support, personal responsibility, healthy relationships, structure, and the development of recovery capital.
Certification does not mean that Sunrise provides clinical treatment or medical services. Sunrise remains a nonclinical recovery residence that works collaboratively with outside treatment providers, healthcare professionals, case managers, and community organizations.
